Praise the Lord!
I love the simplicity of this art. It was done by artist Jason Brooks. Many of his pieces are silhouettes with a pop of color.
Apparently the words we speak have been a problem in the life of believers for many years. The Bible is full of warnings and admonitions about keeping our speech truthful. 1 Peter 3 is another message referring to this subject.
10For “Whoever desires to love life and see good days, let him keep his tongue from evil and his lips from speaking deceit; 11let him turn away from evil and do good; let him seek peace and pursue it. 12For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous, and his ears are open to their prayer. But the face of the Lord is against those who do evil.”
It really cannot be said anymore plainly than that. Basically the Lord hears the prayers of those who are righteous (through the blood of Jesus) and the face of the Lord is against those who don’t.
I traced the outline with a Pigma pen and colored the lips with a watercolor pencil.
